Esto, a veces, nos impide ver el panorama completo, y nos limita conocer si en otros lugares del mundo viven una situaci\u00f3n similar. Eso es lo que ocurre con el estr\u00e9s h\u00eddrico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Por semanas, en M\u00e9xico, el tema principal fue la escasez de agua que vive el estado de Nuevo Le\u00f3n, con mayor afectaci\u00f3n en Monterrey, una de las principales ciudades industriales del pa\u00eds. Esto me hizo pensar sobre otras regiones del planeta que tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n propensas a vivir algo as\u00ed. Porque el estr\u00e9s h\u00eddrico afecta al mundo entero.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el estr\u00e9s h\u00eddrico?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Este t\u00e9rmino se aplica cuando la demanda de agua es m\u00e1s alta que la cantidad disponible durante un periodo determinado o cuando su uso se ve restringido por la baja calidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Ahora bien, de acuerdo con informaci\u00f3n presentada en el <a href=\"https:\/\/ecologicalthreatregister.org\/\">Ecological Threat Register<\/a> de 2020, alrededor de 2,600 millones de personas viven en un lugar expuesto a niveles altos y extremos de estr\u00e9s h\u00eddrico.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Para 2040, un total de 5,400 millones de personas \u2013m\u00e1s de la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n mundial proyectada\u2013 vivir\u00e1n en los 59 pa\u00edses que experimentan estr\u00e9s h\u00eddrico alto o extremo, incluidos India y China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px\">El sudeste asi\u00e1tico y la regi\u00f3n de Oriente Medio y \u00c1frica del Norte, se\u00f1ala Statista, est\u00e1n especialmente expuestos a la escasez de agua.
